Veteran Horse Insurance
The team at Equestrian Direct Insurance Services Limited is very aware that horses are now living longer and continue to lead active lives well into their teens, 20´s or more. As such we are proud to be able to offer a choice of cover for the older horse.
We have 3 veteran horse insurance options:
Veteran Horse Insurance Option 1. "For horses aged 17-19 years inclusive".
This option provides the same limits of cover as our standard horse policy and can include veterinary fees up to £5,000 per incident for illness and disease as well as accidents and injuries.
A 2 stage veterinary certificate performed within 30days of inception will be required.
Veteran Horse Insurance Option 2. "For horses aged 17-30 years inclusive".
This option provides the same limits of cover as our standard horse policy and can include veterinary fees up to £5,000 per incident. Cover for death is restricted to accidental external injury and cover for veterinary fees is restricted to accidental external injury and emergency colic surgery (provided the horse has no previous history of colic)
Veteran Horse Insurance Option 3. "For horses aged 17-30 years inclusive".
This option provides cover for accidental external injury only in respect of death and veterinary fees. There is a maximum sum insured of £1500 and veterinary fees to a limit of £1000 per incident are included.
